Start at the legendary Khor Virap Monastery, located on the Ararat plain and revered as a place where Armenia’s Christian roots were formed. The monastery offers a powerful story, ancient chambers, and unmatched viewpoints overlooking the Armenian–Turkish border and snow-capped Mount Ararat.

Next, travel through picturesque valleys to reach Noravank, one of Armenia’s most photogenic monasteries. Surrounded by vertical red rock formations and dramatic canyon walls, Noravank is celebrated for its ornate carvings, cultural importance, and the outstanding artistry of its medieval builders. It’s a place where history and nature blend seamlessly.

The tour rounds off in the charming village of Areni, internationally recognized for its winemaking traditions. 08:00 – Pick-Up From Your Hotel in Yerevan

Your guide meets you at your hotel. Begin your drive toward the Ararat Valley, enjoying scenic views along the way.

09:00 – Visit Khor Virap Monastery
• Explore one of Armenia’s most sacred pilgrimage sites
• Learn the story of Saint Gregory the Illuminator
• Enjoy panoramic views of Mount Ararat
• Option to descend into the historic underground chamber (optional)

10:30 – Depart for Noravank Gorge

Travel through Armenia’s beautiful countryside, passing rocky landscapes and small villages.

12:00 – Arrive at Noravank Monastery
• Discover the famous two-storey Surb Astvatsatsin Church
• Walk around the red-rock canyon and take photos
• Explore carvings, khachkars, and medieval architectural details
